P&S or MMI comes first
The medical report generally addresses whether the condition is permanent and stationary or at maximum medical improvement, with impairment, restrictions, future care, and apportionment where applicable.
The schedule matters
Labor Code §4660 directs use of the applicable permanent disability schedule. Date-of-injury rules and later amendments can determine which schedule applies.
Audit the rating inputs
Read the body part, impairment description, occupational and age adjustments, apportionment, and date used. A percentage without those inputs is incomplete.
File practice: save the notice, date served, and document that explains the next step. A reference page cannot decide an individual claim.
